How is access controlled and who can see what?
Access to the portal is via Shibboleth or OpenAthens authentication. JUSP requires that only members of staff authorised by the institution are able to access their institution’s usage statistics. Two options are available: • Additional username and password One option is for registered users to be allocated a username and password to access JUSP. Following Shibboleth or OpenAthens authentication, a pop-up box will appear requesting JUSP assigned login details. The username will be assigned to you when you join JUSP. For those sites wishing to log in and view test data, you can request a username and password by email to jusp@mimas.ac.uk • Shibboleth/OpenAthens accounts route An alternative and preferable option would be to manage access via the UK Access Management Federation. This requires the use of an eduPersonEntitlement value to be provided by the Identity Provider (the institution) when using Federated Access Management to login to JUSP.
