How is absinth different from other alcoholic beverages?
Absinthe contains Wormwood and Wormwood has a chemical in it called Thujone. Thujone is a psychoactive in the same chemical class as THC though the effects are radically different. Thujone is a Beta inhibitor Blocker which means it effects the nuerotransmitters in the brain. Here is a great site that explains what it is and how it works.
