How is a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Surgery Performed?
This procedure is performed laparoscopically. Here is the process in a simplified form. * First step. The surgeon makes multiple micro incisions in the stomach. * Second step. A viewing canola is inserted into an incision. * Third step. A miniature surgical video camera is set in place inside the area so the surgeon can view the area on a screen. * Third step. The surgeon inserts micro laparoscopic tools to remove part of the stomach. Part of the digestive system that is removed is responsible for producing hormones (Ghrelin).
