How is a RV Campsite Selected?
In today ’s RV world there are 4 ways to select an RV campground, each with its limitations. 1. The first is the printed directory. These directories are the size of phone books and are confined to the printed word. This medium does not give the reader a true “feel” for the park and its amenities. Many of the printed directories have a rating system in 3 key areas to help the reader get a sense of how the park measures up. 2. The second method is the Internet, whereby the website of the campground can be consulted for information. This data is biased but will often include visual pictures to help the searcher get a “feel “for the park. In some cases the pictures don’t quite match the reality when the RVer arrives. 3. The third method is Word-of-Mouth information. This method of obtaining information is used through Internet forums specifically geared for RVers.
