How is a reception defined for the DJ?
We define a wedding reception as beginning with a cocktail hour, then progressing through the rest of the evening. The importance of this, is that our price is based on the assumption that our time will start at the beginning of the cocktail hour. We will be set up and ready at that time. There are occasional exceptions to this rule. However, they must be discussed and approved before the wedding day. If there are a significant number of guests in the room we are in during the cocktail hour, we will play music and our time will start. We do this for the enjoyment of your guests in that room and so that we do not look like we are not playing when we should be.
