How is a peacemaking process initiated?
A simple board resolution needs to be submitted to the Director of Peacemaking Services. The resolution may contain a brief description of issues or concerns underlying the request for assistance. It must also acknowledge the ministry’s responsibility to reimburse the peace worker for all expenses and fees associated with the peacemaking process, as well as a declaration that the leadership understands that the goal of peacemaking is to create a spiritual context within which healing, reconciliation, renewal or transformation can occur.
