One method of selecting a mediator is for the parties to use an “intake” neutral. One function of an intake neutral is to assists the parties in “session” neutral selection. For the NRC’s pilot program, the Institute on Conflict Resolution (ICR) at Cornell University will serve as an intake neutral.
