How is a Far Infrared Sauna heated?
An infrared sauna is heated using infrared heat. Your body can absorb infrared energy in the 3- to 50-micron range, with the best absorption occuring at approximately 9.4 microns. An infrared sauna does not produce any UV or ultraviolet light, which can cause sunburns and damage your skin. An infrared sauna warms your body directly, unlike conventional saunas which transfer heat by circulating hot air.
