All Afternic transactions will close through our secure escrow service. Buyers sends the amount of the sale to Afternic escrow. We notify the seller to transfer the domain name registration when those funds have cleared. The buyer’s funds are held in our escrow account until the registration transfer is complete. We return all funds except any optional transaction fees such as wire transfer fee, if the seller fails to perform the transfer. Otherwise we mail a check for the sale amount minus a sales/escrow fee (and optional fees such as wire transfer) to the seller. Clear instructions and a link to our escrow summary page are sent to buyer and seller at every step of the escrow transaction.
