How is a criterion registered with the Naming Server?

0

A criterion is defined as a pseudo object that resides only at the Naming Server. The list of supported criteria will automatically register themselves with the Criterion Manager when the Naming Server comes up. Strictly speaking, the Naming Server registers a Criterion Factory rather than the Criterion with the Criterion Manager. This Criterion Factory is responsible for generating the criterion, as and when it is needed. During the registration of the criterion, a string is associated with the criterion. This string is used for specifying the Criterion to use for Cluster creation by the ClusterManager.
