How is a comprehensive guidance course different than a career exploration course?
Helping students become career focused and career committed. A key goal of a comprehensive guidance curriculum such as the Career Choices curriculum is helping students become career-focused and career-committed, while learning how to make effective decisions about their futures. Becoming career focused and career committed doesn’t mean they necessarily know what career they want to pursue but, more important, they understand WHY they need to prepare for a career at all.
