How is a Coaching different than psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy focuses on delving into and resolving issues of the past in order to help you cope better today. Coaching focuses on identifying, clarifying, and achieving goals, and supporting you as you create your desired future. With therapy (as with mentoring, consulting, and training), the therapist leads and the client follows. With coaching, the client sets the agenda and the coach provides support, mostly in the form of powerful, thought-provoking questions.
