How is a blind contour drawing made?
Very slowly and carefully. A blind contour drawing is made by making a line drawing of your subject, without lifting your pencil or pen from the paper (you can double back though, if needed, or if you run off of the paper!), and without removing your eyes from the object. This can be quite tricky. The goal in practicing blind contour drawing is to help your eye-hand coordination while drawing. It’s not going to be perfectly accurate, and may even look wildly inaccurate! This is my example of a blind contour drawing, of a spray bottle.
