The bathtub is scraped, washed and solvents are used to clean it. The tub is completely etched with porcelain etch, then neutralized and thoroughly rinsed. Two or three undercoats (primer) are applied and then up to six top coatings, in the color of your choice, are applied. The finish coats are not porcelain or epoxy, but an extremely hard catalyzed material (synthetic porcelain).
