How involved is the installation of a pool heat pump system?

0

The heat pump is a single, compact, easily installed package. A 220 volt dedicated circuit and attachment to your existing pool pump is basically it! Proper placement is critical to the performance of the pool/spa heat pump. A concrete slab may be required, unless there is enough room on an existing slab. The area must meet a minimum clearance requirement. Plants or shrubs may need to be moved. Sprinkler heads within 6 feet of the unit will need to be moved capped or redirected. Some chlorinating devices may need to be moved or replaced to protect the heat pump from chemical damage. A loop and chemical resistant check valve must be installed. This mandatory step will insure the maximum life span of the pool/spa heat pump.
