5. The war also taught Japan, not to war with Russia; which had an earth shaking result for Nazi Germany in WW2. Germany wanted Japan to attack Russia (USSR then), in return for Hitler’s declaration of war against the US after the Pearl Harbor attack (Hitler declared war on 11 December 1941). Japan ignored opening a second front on the Soviet Union. As a result, the German Army had to face millions of Soviet troops from the USSR’s east.
