How important is vocabulary and terminology in the game industry?
I personally feel it is important to make a distinction between a gamer and a game developer/designer. In my opinion, gaming and gamer refers to the commercial and retail aspect of the industry, the product of the designers/developers. It’s a bit of a peeve to me to hear “How was the gaming conference” or “Gaming degree”. I am a gamer but I am also a game designer.
