How important is the role of a pharmacist to society?

0

Pharmacists are very important to society. Often if you can’t get in touch with your MD, you call the pharmacist. Pharmacists can tell you if there are any interactions between meds you’re taking. They know medications better than MDs & RNs. If you have a side effect they can tell you if it’s from medication you’re taking. They make sure you get right medication, with correct instructions, give you help with best way to take meds (IE: with food, etc.) They make you feel safe. They are your frontline expert for OTC medications & various salves & health related products. I think it’s a great profession!
