It’s important that the reader’s evaluation is at a professional level. Otherwise, the feedback could be out of line with the actual market reaction In order to assure that the test reads done at The Story Department are in line with the coverage that would be done in the actual marketplace, The Story Department only hires readers who have experience working at the major studio, network, production company, agency or management company level. We evaluate samples of their work and check references by talking to their former employers about their performance. Our readers then undergo additional training specific to The Story Department to assure consistent, professional-level coverage.
