How important is the document control format or page/chapter/revision numbering?
For ambient monitoring projects funded through the Region 6 Water Quality Division, the document control format may be implemented (a) on each page, (b) within the table of contents, or (c) on the cover of the document if revisions are to be tracked at the document level. We will not recommend disapproval of a QAPP that is not formatted for document control on each page. Note: EPA QA/R5 states that document control format may be required at the discretion of the project officer or QA manager. Project officers have agreed to allow the options noted above to simplify QAPP formatting. However, the document control format is useful for tracking the status of individual sections of the QAPP and we do not discourage its use.
