How important is it to clean the surface where the UltraHeat® heaters are going to be installed?
All UltraHeat® Heaters are self-adhesive and attach directly to the surface of the holding tank, drain pipes & elbows and fresh water supply pipes. In order for the UltraHeat® Heaters to achieve a good permanent bond with the mounting surface it must be properly cleaned. Accumulated dirt, grime and other foreign materials on the mounting surface will inhibit the adhesive on the UltraHeat® Heaters causing the heaters not to stick to the mounting surfaces or for the adhesive to fail sometime after installation. It is very important to follow UltraHeat®’s installation instructions detailing the proper pre-cleaning of the surface where the heater is to be installed.
