How important is it for indie artists to take advantage of the overseas market?
OSS: The industry will try to lock out good hip hop. BBE recognized good artists like us in the US. There is a huge market as far as artists being able to eat off their product. You can do global tours. People overseas respect the art form. It is music that is timeless so they recognize good music. The market in the US is pigeonholed on the flavor of the month. Even the old school seventy’s soul artists would go overseas. Overseas is much love and it is a beautiful thing that BBE gave my man S1 and Verbal Seed the opportunity to shine worldwide. We are just trying to take advantage of it.
