How important is having a decent pool stick?

If your someone who plays all the time, for example, in a league, or weekly with your friends, you most likely will have your own stick. If you are the person who only plays pool after a night out drinking with friends or that rare occasion you and your friends get together to play. Most likely you will have to use a stick that is at the pool hall, so it will not be a custom fit and perhaps that may be the reason your game is off. Here are a few simple tips to look for when choosing a stick, whether it be your personal or the one your borrowing from the pool hall down the street.
