How important is grammar knowledge in getting a good score on the TOEFL?
The TOEFL exam has been re-structured in recent years to emphasize real world communication ability over book learning. Strict knowledge of grammar rules for its own sake is no longer required; however, you are expected to speak and write without excessive errors in order to receive good scores in these areas.
