How important is an applicants quantitative GMAT score?
It’s somewhat important, and there’s a range that we look for. If someone comes from an engineering or business background, we know they’ve taken the kind of math necessary to do accounting and finance. So the GMAT will reflect that. If someone comes from a liberal or fine arts background, they might have a tougher time. If a score is [significantly] low, though, we tell students to bring it up, because they won’t do well here.
