The ability to reference up to date contact information is very important and it is much easier to have one place to update phone numbers and e-mails rather than having to update them in both a phone and a CRM application. What you have to keep in mind with sales people is that the application that is most helpful to them is the one that will be best maintained. Sales people will always keep the information on their phone up to date so if the phone talks back to the CRM, the quality of data in the CRM is going to increase.
