How important are attendance and punctuality?
In a word, “Extremely!” There is no doubt that one of the keys to academic achievement is good attendance. Consistent participation in school and school-based activities is important for making a successful transition from youth to adulthood. In addition, in elementary school, it is especially important to help students foster good attendance habits that will carry them through the upper grades as well. Punctuality is no less important. Any student who arrives late must report to the main office before proceeding to class. You will receive a school policy paper which outlines attendance and tardiness procedures.
