How hot should the compost be?

0

A moderate size compost pile can reach 100 to 140 degrees at it’s core. A weekly turning is critical for fast or hot composting (sometimes called aerobic composting). But this can be difficult in urban areas because hot composting works best in a large heap. Better to introduce red worms and strive for a nice habitat for the worms and reap their castings.
