How hilly is the trail?
See the Katy Trail Elevation chart to get a good idea of where the trail is flat and where it’s hilly. The trail was built on former railroad tracks and closely follows the Missouri River (east of Boonville), so for the most part it’s exceptionally flat, as you might expect. However, you will find some long gradual slopes. Honestly, most riders can’t even feel the slopes, except for the Boonville bridge.
