There is a 13ft fluctuation between the lake level at its lowest and its highest. During a period of continuous rainfall the lake’s level can rise substantially. It is not uncommon for the foreshore’s car park to be submerged under 4ft of water and waves breaking on the walls of the Warden Centre.
