How high can bushes/hedges grow?
The Northbrook Zoning Code does not consider natural vegetation to be the same as a permanently installed fence. Bushes and hedges can grow to any height as long as they do not interfere with rights-of-way or visibility at street and/or sidewalk intersections. The general rule is that any landscaping within a 45-degree angle at intersecting curb lines cannot exceed two feet in height.
