How heavy is a TASSO bed?
It always constitutes a permissible weight in house construction terms (see results of structural surveys) and the court judgment where the presiding judge ruled that the landlord and house owner had no grounds for concern. To calculate it: multiply the length by the width by the height of the water mattress, this gives you the number of cubic decimeters which equals the number of kilos. For a softside system this averages out to approximately 250 liters (i.e. kilos) per mattress spread over approximately 2 sq m. With a hardside system, it comes to approximately 300. Per square meter that roughly corresponds to the weight of three people standing still.
