How have you observed SHADOW BANDS just before & after TOTALITY phase of solar eclipse on July 22, 2009?

I have observed shadow bands on 24th October 1995 total Solar eclipse Just before totality. That eclipse lasted only 55 seconds and I was observing from a village 23kilometers from Alwar Rajastan in India. We put a white cloth on the ground expecting this phenomenon. Later when I checked the newspaper reports there was no mention about this phenomenon.
