How have the camps evolved so far? Is the UNODC making any plans to change their structure?

We’ve held several international camps so far. It’s evolved into a healthy exercise, but some changes are likely to happen. It’s too taxing, physically and mentally, for these young children to travel all the way from Brazil and Fiji to Doha or any other such distance. I had held discussions with QOC Secretary General Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Vancouver recently and suggested the idea of holding camps for a maximum of four to five countries, which lie in close proximity. It would be better if the campers are those with a single mother tongue. Translations aren’t that effective all the time. The campers should preferably be from slums or refugee camps from poor countries like Somalia. Only then the purpose will be served. How productive was the Doha camp? It was our Doha-based project co-ordinator Carl Marsh who interacted with the children mostly and he was stunned by the saddening experiences of various kids with regard to drug abuse. We’re keen on making the camps more
