HOW HAVE OTHER STUDENTS ACCLIMATED TO LIFE IN THEIR HOST CITY?
It is natural to feel apprehensive about life in new country or city. API, however, has sent thousands of students abroad through its programs over the past 10 years and provides detailed on-site orientation sessions for students upon arrival. These orientation sessions often include tours of the host city, host institution and overviews of the cityscape. Students are encouraged to explore the city in small groups of other participants during the day in order to get more familiar with their neighborhoods and amenities in the immediate vicinity.
