Again we turned to Narang: “It’s certainly unfair but it’s not surprising. I think no matter what happens high-frequency traders are going to get blamed. I find it extremely amusing that high-frequency traders are getting blamed for not trading yesterday and causing volatility by not trading when in fact if they were trading certainly the narrative would have been high-frequency traders were causing volatility because of their trading. “Either way they’re going to get blamed.
