In an attempt to avoid duplication of assistance, several donors have indicated their preference for channelling additional Aid for Trade (AFT) commitments multilaterally. AFT implementing agencies will include organisations such as ITC, UNIDO and the World Bank as well as regional development banks. Such an approach has been influenced by the principles of coherence and harmonisation of the 2005 Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness.
