How have cell phones and social networking sites changed the way we communicate?

I think cellphones and social networking sites have changed the way we communicate. I mean whereas when our society use to call people and talk its now more about text messaging. It’s as if people don’t have time to pick up the phone and call each other anymore. People are very loud and disrespectful on their phones when you can hear their whole conversation. People have to answer their phone every other minute causing distractions and carry their phone everywhere they go. Even while I am at work when you ask a customer how they are doing, they are steady taking on the phone. Social networking composes of only messaging and seeing how other people are doing, based on pictures and random messages from other people. People don’ t take time to get to know other people, they just read about them from an online network. Whereas people use to go out and hangout and get to know each other. I hope this helps!
