How has urbanization contributed to poverty?
Urbanization- by my definition, is the grouping of a people in an underprivileged environment to inhibit the mental financial progression of a group of people. Urbanization restricts the upward mobility of a group of people, primarily based on race, class, or both, by the government not providing adequate education, and financial resources to move out of an impoverished area. The government masks disenfranchisement by offering free to low-cost health care, low-income housing, and public transportation, which “fools” some of the people in disenfranchised areas that they should settle for just surviving in America, not living the American dream.
