How has the pipeline route been determined?
The pipeline route has been designed to maximise the best possible reach to as many users as possible within the available funding. It also considers the results from a range of surveys, including heritage, environmental and geotechnical studies; registered expressions of interest; and the expected user demand. How much water can I store in the aquifer? The maximum volume of water stored in the aquifer within the Angas Bremer Prescribed Wells Area for subsequent allocation and extraction is currently 7.5 GL per annum. This includes the approval of 2.5 GL under the Water Allocation Plan and an additional 5.0 GL declared under section 128 of the Natural Resources Management Act 2004, which expires on 5 September 2010.
