How has the money been spent in Ottawa?
A 64 space surface lot was completed in 2008 on Preston Street. The money has also been spent on parking related items. For example, in the 2006 budget City Council approved the amendment of the Cash-in-lieu by-law to allow parking studies to be paid for out of the Cash-in-lieu fund. A parking study, in many cases, is the forerunner process in the development of a parking strategy for a commercial area.
