How has the Greek understanding of art and architecture influenced us?
Have a good look at the US Capitol building, the White House, and buildings all over the United States, and you’ll see echos of Greek architecture pioneered thousands of years ago. The Greeks may properly be called the first modern artists and architects. The magnificence of their accomplishments in sculpture and architecture have barely been topped by anything since. Their pottery is still modern-looking and would still be functional today.
