How has the current economy affected teh Visual Merchandising world?
In my opinion, it is the face that advertising seems to still be putting on that brings out the cynic in today’s economy. When people are struggling to pay for necessities, it is hard to for them to digest that they “have to have” a particular item, let alone if it’s an expensive one. My own advertising approach shifted from a “pampering product” pitch to a “fraction of day spa costs, multiple use, etc” approach. So far, it’s working! Good Luck!
