How has Poison the Well changed since the late-90s?
It seems kinda like most people we’ve been in contact with on this tour have had the mindset where they haven’t really listened to the band since like 2001. And it’s kind of cool to see a lot of people who got into the band a while ago switch back for whatever reason. Whatever works, man. The major label thing was cool, all the guys were cool, but it was also the first opportunity for the band that had like “that sound” on record. Then it was like they were looking for like a radio single or whatever and got o the point where they were like, ‘I don’t know what to do with you.’ It’s incredible we got away totally Scott free, actually. Do you see a sense of hardcore authenticity to this record that wasn’t necessarily prevalent on other Poison the Well records? Absolutely.
