How has plastic changed Kitchen Utensils?

0

In a nutshell, it’s made them (kitchen utensils) disposable, just like so many other things we use in our homes. I have metal utensils that are older than I am (passed down from my mom) that are still going strong. Unfortunately, due to the popularity of non-stick cookware, certain plastic utensils have become indispensable, since metal would scratch the non-stick coating. All things considered though, plastic, when you consider the impact to the environment, and the ‘throw-away’ nature of it, is no better than the longer lasting wood or metal. It may even be worse.
