How has Lladro contributed to the art of porcelain?
Through much R&D, Lladro has developed new techniques for porcelain and has taken the knowledge of the craft to another level. Like making the Queen of the Nile, a limited edition with only about 100 pieces with intricate detailing. The 1.6-m-long figure took five years to develop. We created different glazes like the glossy, matt and Gres finish and developed the technique of single firing. Most importantly, our artisans have worked on the expressions of the figurines to make them as perfect as possible. Our sculptors continue to play with porcelain, experimenting with colours, enamels and finishes of different kinds. Tell us about the styles that Lladro has become associated with.
