How has life in a rock band and touring changed now that there are families and kids involved?
That’s funny that you say that, ‘cause there are kids on the bus right now. That’s why we’re doing this interview outside. That’s fine, I don’t have a problem with it. Yeah, you know the after show parties have definitely changed. Do they involve Chuck E. Cheese now? Yeah, now we have clowns come and do magic tricks. (laughing) Oh, we could go in crazy places with that. No, things have obviously changed. It’s really fortunate that we’re all family men and we’re all married. Our lead guitarist just got a divorce unfortunately, but we’re all family men, we have kids and stuff and it’s just such a very cool environment in that regard. It’s a lot different than it used to be, but you change with how your life is going and luckily we’ve all kind of been on the same page. Our touring has gone from where we used to do 250 dates per year on the road, you know, complete touring dogs. Now, we’re on the road, maybe 100 days every year and we’re touring smarter now.
