How has it been since assuming the mantle of leadership in UNN?
There are certain things that a university in the 21st Century should do to attain excellence. There are basic things like embracing internationalisation. Any university that does not embrace global outreach will not be able to advance in the 21st Century. So, such things are parts of the vision we carried, and we know that they are parts of the vision of the founding fathers of the university. We want to use it to grow the university and place it in the league of world-class universities. We tried to put certain infrastructure that will drive scholarship. It might be basic, but they are important. These include water, roads and power. For example, you need to have constant power supply in a university environment, because it is the driver of scholarship. It is the driver of equipment and ICT. So that is part of the things we have been doing to get the university growing again. Our university has been described as a dysfunctional institution and we want to make it functional again. Cur
