How has Dr. Ambedkar contributed to the Indian society?
Though Dr. Ambedkar opposed the caste system but on the very same fundamentals of caste system the reservation system was created for SC/STs in jobs and educational institutions when constitution was drafted. He lacked the vision to firmly mention in the Indian constitution that reservations for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes to be gradually withdrawn. The same reservation policy is now biting the common man, turning the so called upper caste people into needy people after 60 years of freedom. None of the political parties have guts to re-visit the reservation issue since it affects the their vote bank.

He demanded quality education and economic stability in indians__ their effectiveness will gradually finish reservations and casteism alongwith. The time he targeted has long been passed__politicians won’t stop the game of divide and rule of indian people by giving in to his plans abt casteism. Ambedkar was kept in house-prison for 3 days while the constitution was to be taken–nearly 80% work done by him was replaced by mr. Nehru. Ambedkar wished he could burn the constitution to ashes.
