How hard is it to qualify at Martinsville with all the rubber ‘marbles’ on the track?
“You’re staying on the very bottom of the race track. If you’re up where the marbles are, you’re in a bad position anyways. We weren’t that good in probably three or four qualifying runs. Being the first car out probably didn’t help us any. It seemed like when the shade came a lot more cars were beating us but we’ll take it. Either way that was a big pick up for us from what we had.” How did your car handle during your qualifying lap? “It didn’t feel much different than what we had in practice.
